Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with lowercase letters, such in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from both music bloggers as well as from the press. The singer has released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis for a Christmas advertisement from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry announced her new song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered an old grand piano hidden in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not as an income or as a pastime, but as an opportunity to grow. The singer began to write her own songs. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favorite composers. The singer decided to perform her music in public when her mother suggested that they might help others not gain acclaim for her work but to make those around them see their importance and the ways they could impact the world. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She began making music at the age of nine. The family did not be aware until 14. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora.
